Large polyp stony corals, also known as LPS corals, are a good choice for beginners. LPS corals boast beautiful, vibrant colors and require moderate maintenance to remain vibrant and healthy. The frag require medium to low light and while their diet varies from species to species, most LPS stony corals will feed on pellets or fish food such as Mysis. All large polypiston corals require a medium-strong current and can also handle increased nutrient levels very well.
