Copper Power Blue (16 oz) is a highly stable, chelated copper medication used to safely treat and prevent parasitic infestations, like ich and marine velvet in saltwater aquariums. It is prized for staying in solution without precipitating, maintaining a consistent therapeutic dosage of 2.5 ppm.
Key Features

Dosage & Administration

Important Treatment Guidelines
- Quarantine Required: Always use in a bare-bottom Quarantine Tank (QT). Live rock, sand, and filter media containing calcium carbonate will absorb the copper and render the treatment ineffective.
- Invertebrate Toxicity: Copper is lethal to snails, shrimp, corals, and other invertebrates. Only treat fish in a separate isolation tank.
- Testing: It is highly recommended to monitor copper levels using a reliable test kit (such as the Hanna High-Range Copper Checker) to maintain a safe and effective therapeutic range.
- Removal: After the parasite lifecycle has been addressed (usually a 14-day treatment period), remove the copper from the water using water changes and chemical filtration pads (like Poly-Bio-Marine filters).
