Engineered specifically to combat the common failure points of glass and resistance-wire submersibles, this 350W element utilizes Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) ceramic chip technology.

Key Features & Technology

  • PTC Solid-State Ceramic Chips: Rather than utilizing traditional, toaster-style resistance wires that continuously build up heat until they fail or crack, the Helio features micro-programmed ceramic chips. When the chip approaches its maximum threshold temperature, its electrical resistance naturally increases, automatically reducing the current draw to mitigate overheating risks.
  • Shatterproof Titanium Sheathing: The entire heating core is housed within a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant titanium alloy barrel. It is completely impervious to salt degradation and physical impacts, ensuring it will never shatter in your sump.
  • Run-Dry Resistance: Thanks to self-regulating PTC technology, if the element is accidentally exposed to the open air during water changes or a return-pump stall, the heating mechanism halts its thermal escalation automatically to prevent fire or melting hazards.
  • Integrated Safety Redundancy: The element communicates actively with the external Helio Smart Controller. Together with the controller's dedicated titanium temperature sensor, the system operates with a triplicate layer of redundant safety to maintain near-zero variance.
