Testing Procedure

• Measure Water: Use the 2 ml syringe to draw and add 2 ml of aquarium water into the test vial.
• First Reagent Dose: Draw exactly 1.00 ml of NH3 reagent into the 1 ml syringe. Depress the syringe to add exactly 0.5 ml into the vial.
• First Mix: Swirl the vial gently for 30 seconds.
• Second Reagent Dose: Add the remaining 0.5 ml of reagent from the syringe into the vial.
• Second Mix: Swirl gently for 10 seconds, then let the vial stand completely still for 3 minutes.
• Read Results: Swirl for 5 seconds. Hold the test vial directly in front of you and look through the side. Hold the color chart directly behind the vial, ensuring a white section of the chart aligns behind the liquid layer to match the color accurately.
